1.Design Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Use ProEngineer, ProMechanica, etc as an engineering tool in the layout, modeling, and analysis of engines, engine sub-systems, engine components and assemblies.Especially Euro IV/V diesel engine exhaust system layout with integrated after-treatment system
· Perform form, fit and function studies to insure quality designs that meet all design requirements and space constraints
· Write engineering releases that adhere to product definition standards and guidelines
· Develop technical profiles for engine component and system level developments.
· Support and/or lead procurement of prototype aftertreatment components in support of DVP&R work and vehicle demonstration.
· Prepare technical data and complete documentation of work
· Perform static and kinematics design calculations and acoustic analysis as appropriate
· Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to achieve producible, quality designs at the lowest possible cost
· Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests of product designs
· Lead and participate in cross functional Design Reviews, FMEA’s, and 6S project teams.
· Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
QUALIFICATION:
Education: Master degree or above
Experience and other requirements:
· Strong learning desire in product design and product management will be considered.
· Solid education background in mechanical engineering and design discipline.
· Proficiency in Pro/E and other computer aided design and analysis tools in communicating
· With other design engineers and customers required. Experience with ANSYS preferred but not required.
· Vehicle exhaust system and diesel engine after-treatment technology familiarization preferred but not required
2.Control Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with US/UK team members to understand SCR system development and support CES China engineering efforts to develop Euro IV/V engine after-treatment system for both Cummins and non-Cummins customers.
· Support aftertreatment system sizing and component design efforts by planning and / or applying modeling, engine test cell tests, and vehicle tests.
· Use system analysis skills to investigate aftertreatment performance characteristics. Use data analysis skills to reduce test data, visualize results, and present conclusions
· Participate in full system vehicle testing to prove acceptable system performance. This includes test trips such as environmental cold/hot tests.
· Use test design skills to develop OBD test and calibration methods as required by China Stage IV/V legislation.
· Use system modeling and optimization skills to create control algorithms and calibration methods. This work includes understanding and predicting compromises such as: exhaust heat, exhaust flow, and fuel efficiency
· Responsible for specific aftertreatment calibration parameters. This may include test design, data reduction, parameter tuning, results presentation and post release validation
· Make supplier, OEM, and end-user customer visits as appropriate to support project activities at the relevant departmental level.
· Work closely with the design group to ensure customers requirements are fully meet through quality designs at the lowest possible cost.
· Develop and manage to individual work with direct supervision from the engineering leader.
· Assess the robustness and capability of new designs in meeting their customer expectations through participation in design reviews.
· Support the low cost initiative in developing the optimum common specification across China.
QUALIFICATION:
Education: Master degree or above
Experience and other requirements:
· Good understanding of basic engine combustion/performance/emissions and diesel engine aftertreatment chemistry;
· Knowledge of new product introduction process sufficient to support integration of aftertreatment into engine development processes;
· Proficiency in data reduction and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and /or Matlab;
· Knowledge of Cummins engine CPE development, calibration process, engine controls and electronic calibration tools.
· Confident in communicating to peer groups, both internally and externally.
· A team player in cross-functional technical groups/teams
3.Mechanical Development Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with US/UK CES project team members to understand SCR system development and support CES China engineering efforts to develop Euro IV/V engine after-treatment system for both Cummins and non-Cummins customers.
· Responsible for specific aftertreatment component (dosing system, catalyst, sensors) validation. This may include test design, data reduction, parameter tuning, results presentation and post release validation
· Lead aftertreatment system and component mechanical development activities in China, including DVP&R and test data analysis
· Lead CES China engineering team FIRG activities from data collection, to validation test, and issue closure documentation.
· Make supplier, OEM, and end-user customer visits as appropriate to support project activities at the relevant departmental level.
· Work closely with the design group and development team to ensure technical profile and customer’s requirements are fully met through validation test.
· Support the low cost initiative in developing the optimum common specification across China
· Develop and manage individual work with direct supervision from the engineering leader
QUALIFICATION:
Education: Master degree or above
Experience and other requirements:
· Good understanding of basic engine components and diesel engine aftertreatment technology;
· Knowledge of new product introduction process sufficient to support mechanical development and validation of aftertreatment system and components;
· Familiarity with FIRG database and reliability analysis;
· Proficiency in data reduction and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and /or Matlab;
· Good presentation skills as well as written communication skills both in Chinese and English;
· Demonstration of Cummins core Values;
· Confident in communicating to peer groups, both internally and externally;
· A team player in cross-functional technical groups/teams.
4.NVH Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Solve the noise and vibration problem occurred during aftertreatment installation, including the EGP, doser and sensors. Main work include:
·System/Component selection and design support from NVH function.
·System test
·Make solution plan
·Implement and validate
· Help customers to deal with noise and vibration issue related to the aftertreatment system.
· Solve critical or widespread noise and vibration issue at customer side
QUALIFICATION:
Education: Master degree or above
Experience and other requirements:
· Major in mechanical engineering and has better understanding on NVH knowledge base.
· Good written and oral communication skills in English.
· Good team work spirit.
· Creative thinking
· Be familiar with the muffler design and performance is a plus.
· An open person and good at functional communication.
5.Component Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support new AT system development work and current AT system /component improvement
· Based on system development, understand or definite the spec of all component s and part key components
· Discuss with component supplier and understanding supplier’s component to determine its is available for system needed
· Building component testing plan for supplier or internal team, finish component DVP&R, and do report.
· Support the purchasing to looking for component that with local cost and satisfied specification.
· It will supporting control engineer integration working and AE trouble shooting job in customer site
· It will report to system development leader or engineering manager
· More rich experience in production development and component development in mechanical and electric area.
QUALIFICATION:
Education: Master degree or above
Experience and other requirements:
· Mechanical and electric industries relative system/component research during master and PH.D student;
· Good writing, listening and communication skills in English;
· More experience in communication in English US global call meeting;
· Team working;
· Calm down for program and research.
6.Catalyst Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop detailed understanding of chemistry & kinetics to support device level model development.
· Work closely with China local catalyst suppliers at a detail level to communicate CES catalyst needs and identify candidate catalyst formulations.
· Develop diagnostics and performance procedures for evaluation of catalysts from engine testing and the field test.
· Work closely with internal customers to support aftertreatment systems R&D and to understand future aftertreatment system requirements.
· Design and develop advanced experimental tools or support the development of Analysis Led Design tools for various catalyst technologies
· Coordinate collaborative research work with academic, National Lab, or industrial partners
QUALIFICATION:
Education: PhD preferred.要求博士学历
Experience and other requirements:
· PhD in material Science and engineering, chemical engineering or chemistry;
· Professional experience and knowledge of ceramic materials, materials processing, micro-cracking, materials physical prosperities, failure analysis and material test methods;
· Destructive and non-destructive testing techniques a plus;
· Understanding of catalystic materials. Experience with desiel engine a plus;
· Extensive familiarity with fundamentals of heterogeneous catalysis and reaction engineering in the areas related to exhaust aftertreatment catalysis;
· Experimental experience catalytic reactor design and operation; typical catalyst characterization tools and techniques;
· Effective spoken and written communication skills;
· Capable of leading / coordinating activities in small development teams. Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting sound judgment and a realistic understanding of the issues.
